An author of solo piano transcriptions of Richard Strauss’ 'Ein Heldenleben', Rachmaninoff's 大提琴 Sonata, 穆索尔斯基's 'Songs and Dances of Death' and 柴可夫斯基’s Manfred Symphony, Asiya studied composition with Albert Leman, the composition chair of Moscow Conservatory and a student of Dmitry Shostakovich.

Asiya KorepanovaBorn to a musical family in Russia, Asiya Korepanova made her orchestral debut at the age of nine with Mozart’s Concerto No. 8, having composed her own cadenza for the occasion. Her early musical awards include the Russian Federation’s President Award for “Exceptional Achievement in the 艺术,” and a Gold Medal at the 2012 Nina Wideman International Piano Competition.

Since immigrating to the U.S. in 2012, Korepanova has garnered national attention with performances at the Stern Auditorium at Carnegie Hall, the Phillips Collection, the Dame Myra Hess Memorial Series, the International Miami Piano Festival, the Bargemusic Series, and many others. Her recitals have been broadcast on CNN, NPR stations, WFMT, and WETA.

In 2023, Asiya is a featured artist at the prestigious 朋友 of Chamber Music of Miami, performing complete Rachmaninoff solo piano music in 6 recitals. She celebrates the premiere of her latest transcription––柴可夫斯基’s Manfred Symphony, and the release of scores of her compositions: the 'Poéme' for alto saxophone and piano and 'Con Brio' for two pianos, as well as transcriptions of works by Chopin, 舒曼, 艾美海滩, 福尔, 穆索尔斯基, 弗兰克, 和巴赫.
